Japan was once known as “the land of silk.” Boasting the world's largest production volume, Japanese silk — prized for its luster and texture — was highly regarded around the world as a symbol of Japanese craftsmanship.

Today, production has become very limited, though there are still artisans who preserve tradition while continuing to challenge themselves with new techniques. This project is an attempt to bring that world-class technology to the field of beauty — born from the aim of once again reclaiming Japan's standing as “the land of silk.”
